For a basic mineral wrap you will need: one cup of Epsom salts, one cup of sea salt, one cup of baking soda and a few drops of your favorite essential oil. You may also add two tablespoons of glycerin as a moisturizer if desired.

Mix the above ingredients in a large bucket with about 3/4 of a gallon of very warm water. Submerge your ace bandages or cloth strips. Proceed by wrapping the saturated cloth strips around your body. Relax for one hour, remove and rinse off any residue.

For this wrap you will need: one cup of green clay, 1/4 cup of sea salt, two tablespoons of olive oil, two cups of water and a few teaspoons of your favorite dried herb, such as lavender, chamomile or peppermint. Put water in a large pot, boil, add other the other ingredients and stir to form a paste. Let the paste cool off slightly, and begin applying a thin film of it to the areas of your body you would like to wrap. Once the paste is applied, begin wrapping with cloths or bandages.

Leave the body wrap on for at least 45 minutes. Usually the bathtub is the best place to relax while waiting. Have a cup of your favorite herbal tea and listen to some relaxing music. After the allotted time, remove the cloths and shower off the clay residue.

Some simple body wraps combine basic ingredients like sea salt with clay and water. Exact amounts are not critical; you can always add or change ingredients to suit your individual needs and desires.
